This is one of my Top Favorite Place to Eat in Chinatown (Close to Edmonton Downtown). On the Corner of 98 ST NW.  I've eating here for Many Years. The best Chinese Authentic Foods. Consistently Always Best Hot and Cold Dishes. Delicious.

I Love the Family (Chinese) Set Dinner Menu Prices. Seafood Dishes. Best Prices-$11-$30, Large Portions.

Tip: Free Front (Angle)/ Street Parking
-Cash Only (DEBIT/CREDIT OVER $20 Bill)

I don't really know how it all started, but this place has become somewhat of a family tradition. We've come here for birthdays and other celebrations. It's a sit down restaurant that is very suitable for families or larger groups of people.

Today, on a Sunday afternoon, we didn't make a reservation and four of us were seated immediately. You don't need to dress up to come here. It's casual and convenient.

There's nothing flashy about the outside or the inside of this establishment. A couple of cheesy overpriced loonie vending machines (somehow I always seem to take note of this as I walk in) and a huge fish aquarium (with giant goldfish) with a flat screen tv (mounted on the wall on top) grace the front of this place. However, don't be fooled by the simple decor...this is no plain Jane restaurant! The food here is really good!! The food is also served fairly quickly!

Our family loves the deep fried crispy (whole) chicken! Our two most favorite things: Fried food and chicken The skin is so crispy while the meat is moist and tasty. We also usually order the golden garlic seafood fried rice, vegetarian chow mein (we love our meat but we need some veggies!), peach and shrimp (breaded and fried) with creamy peach salad sauce (may sound strange but I find this delicious!), and beef with Chinese broccoli.

Today our total bill came to about $87. This was very reasonable considering the food fed four of us and we had three jam packed take out containers to bring home. The portions are quite generous here.

I know we'll be coming back again. If you're ever in Chinatown, give this place a try!

One of my fave go to places for authentic Chinese food (though I admit I'm pretty white washed so usually go with the parents so they can order haha).

It's a nice little place, with plenty of big tables to accommodate larger parties.  Nothing fancy, the usual decor of a TV playing some Chinese shows and a fish tank.  It's clean and basic, but it's the food you will come here for.

Service is good and attentive, even with lots of big tables and 2 servers working.  As well, it didn't take long for the food to come out.

Prices seem reasonable as most places like this, but according to my parents this place has better prices.  Our dinner with 4 dishes and rices came to about $65, where they mentioned at some places it would be $75 or more.  Portion sizes are also good, even had leftovers to take home.

There are many places to go in Edmonton for authentic Chinese food, but sometimes tough to find one with both good services and good food.  This is one of the places I feel I can always depend on for both.

We had a family meal here and arrived for our 5:30 reservation on a Sunday.  There are a few large tables that can accommodate about 10 people but best to make a reservation in case they are occupied.  During our dinner, the smaller tables were filled up.  The seats are comfortable and it can get a little tight for space if others are seated at tables around you.

After we ordered, the food didn't take long to arrive at the table and there wasn't long gaps in between the 10 dishes.  The presentation of the food was ok, and some of the dishes didn't look as appetizing as at other restaurants.  The taste of the food was alright with some dishes not having enough flavour.  One dish had boneless chicken, and they didn't cut it very well and it was more like 3 pieces.  The bird's nest was dark and it looked like the oil wasn't changed recently.  The shrimp  in the shrimp with peaches dish were small and deep fried.

The service throughout the meal was good with drinks refilled.  They also offered dessert at the end of the meal.  There are a few things that stood out about the restaurant.  The emergency exit is a door that is all covered up with paper and there are chairs right against the door.  Not sure if there's an emergency, people could get out using that door.  In the women's washroom, the larger stall had a hole in the ceiling with a ladder coming down from it.  On the floor there were boxes of empty beer bottles.  I guess they are short of storage space but not sure about the hole and ladder? I didn't use that stall for fear someone might drop in!

Not my favourite Chinese food restaurant but it wasn't terrible either.   Won't be back anytime soon.

I don't often go out for dinners with my family. We all have our separate lives, along with their schedules. Tonight however, we all came together to celebrate a birthday within the family. As a family we've been coming to C&S for many years, though sparsely. On average, I would assume we would give this place a visit twice or three times a year. We usually come in groups larger than 6, and always order to our hearts desire. This place is expensive, but is saved for special occasions, when we are feeling like Chinese food. Tonight, it was great. I don't give 5 stars usually, but the food tonight was to die for.

The chicken was superb, considering it's usually one of my least favourite dishes. The peach and shrimp was good, and the peach was cold. This is a good sign because it means that the peaches are fresh, and more importantly, the dish wasn't microwaved as a whole. The squid was good, along with the vegetables that came with it. Crab was great and so were the Shanghai noodles. Everything tonight was great, but one dish stood out. I'm not too sure the exact name of it, but it is the beef dish that came with the dinner for 6 combo. It came out sizzling, and smelled amazing. The taste held up to the standard of its appearance. It was tender, delicious, and served fresh.

Service was speedy and to the point, which is all I need. A big play in my experience tonight was the ambience of the room. Plenty of the large tables were full, and everybody seemed to be having a good time. This was complimented by the renovations to the restaurant that were completed. They did a wonderful job in transforming this restaurant into a great place to dine.

Will definitely come back when the situation is presented. If you're looking for a good Chinese dining experience, try this place sometime.
